Rescue Me ID: 18-02-17-00337Calla (female)
This is Calla. She has only ever been a pet, but is rather protective. I don't think she'd have any problem transitioning to working other than wanting to be around her family and needing lots of love and attention. She can be very nervous around other people. I haven't found anyone that she's just 'warmed up' to immediately outside of my husband, daughter, and me. I've worked with her fearfullness as much as I have the capability to. We love this pup, but we're renters with no fenced in yard at the moment. I think she would be a better fit with someone who has more time and room for her. She is a VERY stubborn potty trainer. I haven't been able to completely break her of going in the house. She's the least destructive puppy I've ever owned, but can still be, well, a puppy. She will require a meet and greet (at least an hour) before I allow her to leave with someone because she is fearful/nervous around new people. She does well with my 18 month old daughter, but not sure how she does around other children. She has not been around any dogs other than my GS, so I'm not sure how she will do with them. She's going to need someone who is both experienced with dogs in general and LGDs with room to run and a job for her to do(preferably someone with a farm and livestock). POOS. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-12-00752Tucker (male)
Tucker is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd / Cattle dog mix that is about 65 pounds. Tucker is a little shy around strangers, but once he warms up to you he is a total love bug! He is a very intelligent, well-trained dog who would benefit from an owner who could take him to obedience classes or would like to teach him agility. He is an active boy that would make a great walking or jogging partner and he does great with other dogs! If you think Tucker may be the guy for you go to DogsbyDebin.com to fill out an adoption application. Interested? Please visit http://www.dogsbydebin.com/adoption-application to complete our quick online adoption application from your laptop or computer (not a phone). Tucker's adoption fee is $175 & includes: Neuter, heartworm test, microchip, fecal test, vaccines, a wellness exam & an offer of pet healthcare for 30 days! (Less)

Animal ID: 562Yollie (female)
Hi, I'm Yollie. I was found running around in traffic on 71 Highway. Running in traffic isn't the best idea I've had but what else was there to do. I had no family, no friends, no one who cared about me. That's what I always wanted and really need - a family. I would be a great family pet to those with no other pets. With people I'm friendly, gentle, and not too demanding. I still like to jump fences so I'll need a home with a tall privacy fence that I can't climb. I promise I'll be the dog of your dreams. Do you have a little room in your heart to love me?

Anatolian Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Anatolian Shepherd is a large breed with strong herding instincts. Anatolian Shepherds need strong leadership from their masters and are matched best with owners who have experience training dogs. An Anatolian Shepherd is a very loyal dog with strong protective instincts towards its loved ones. Anatolian Shepherds are wary of strangers and need to be introduced to new people. An Anatolian Shepherd is very friendly towards people he knows well. Anatolian Shepherds are caring towards children, but may not know their own strength and therefore need to be supervised around younger kids. A large fenced yard or farm environment is best for Anatolian Shepherds. Its ability to herd animals and protect the perimeter of a property makes the Anatolian Shepherd an excellent working dog.
