Jonah (URGENT, at the Kenedy, Texas, Animal Shelter, need RESCUE or ADOPTER, contact Matthew 830-299-2728 or kasdvolunteer@gmail.com.) Hero wanted! Remember when you were a little boy and you dreamed of being a super hero or sports hero, but then you ended up with a regular boring, yet financially stable, job, like accountant or truck driver. Well here is your chance to be a super hero. I need someone to rescue or adopt me today, like all dogs at the shelter my time is running out! My name is Jonah and I am a pretty boy mix. Like maybe Anatolian Shepherd mix, no one really knows for sure, because I came from the streets of K-town. I ... (Read More)am about 35 lbs or so and still just a puppy, maybe a little under one year old. I am SUPER friendly and like most pups my age, I enjoy to be jumpy and playful and have a good time. Please call Mister Matthew at 830-299-2728 if you are interested in saving me from my doom day otherwise known as euthanasia day. Kenedy is a small town just 60 miles SE of San Antonio, Texas, the pets there get NO exposure for rescue or adoption other than this facebook page. The live release rate is typically 5% out of 275 dogs per year, standard hold time is 72 hours. Adoption fee is $15.00 and adopter has 30 days to get Vet care (shots) and pet must be spayed and neutered within that time period, fines will be incurred if vetting is not completed. RELEASE TO RESCUE GROUPS is desperately needed as well and all vetting would be the rescue's responsibility, but we will post a link to your donation site. The contact to adopt or rescue a pet is Matthew 830-299-2728. Rescue groups that prefer email can email kasdvolunteer@gmail.com. (Less)

Anatolian Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Mia is in need of good home! She is a beautiful, and sweet seven-year old Anatolian Shepherd mix. She would do best in a home with room to roam or frequent exercise. She has lived her whole life in our home side by side with another dog and our two young children, but after a recent quarrel amongst our dogs, we feel it best for the family to separate them. She is the most loyal, loving dog who wakes you up with her tail wagging against the wall and furniture excited your awake, lays beside you while you're working, and at night she will find a place to sleep as close to your room as you'll allow. She is up-to-date on all shots and ... (Read More)vaccinations, and takes monthly heart worm medicine. We have had this dog her whole life so it pains us to let her go, but we feel it will be better for her to find a home with a big backyard, to an owner or owners who can be her sole companion. Rescue Me ID: 13-12-30-00593Lacey (female)

Anatolian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed

Lacey is a 7-8 month old Anatolian/Pyrenees mix. She is an extremely sweet and kind girl that is very gregarious and playful with all my other dogs. She is very submissive at this time. Keep in mind this is a breed that does not fully mature until 2 years of age, she is still basically a puppy in spite of her size. She has the double dew claws of the Great Pyrenees and beautiful expressive brown eyes that are lined with eyeliner. Pictures really do not do her justice. Her coat will be easier to care for than a pure bred pyrenees but it is still thick and luxurious. She will need a large fenced yard which I require. This is not a livestock ... (Read More)guardian dog, but a pet. This is an independent breed of dog that will need firm but gentle guidance but she has been an absolute joy and I think she will make a fantastic and loyal family member. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. Adoption application and home visit required. (Less)
