MIKE is a mixed-breed shepherd-type dog, perhaps a mix of German shepherd, Anatolian shepherd and a smaller herding breed such as border collie. He is about 2 years old. He weighs around 55 to 60 pounds. He is a very friendly and affectionate dog. He seems to be good with other dogs, although we haven't had a chance to walk him with any others yet. We'll test him out with several if he is here long enough. He should be good with children of all ages. He is rugged enough to stay outside most of the time, but should be brought in during very cold or bad weather. He loves people and will thrive on attention indoors or out. He should make a very ... Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Adult Women Only
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected,
 Fearful/Anxious

Ty is an Anatolian Shepherd mix who is in need of a specific type of home. He came from a pound by Corpus Christi, Texas. Ty will follow you around all day outside in the yard, and go on all your adventures with you. He would do very well with an adult female household. He is very protective and will bark and stand his ground when strangers come on the property. He gets along with my husband, and has never threatened a child. He bonded strongly to the female transporter who brought him to my rescue from the Corpus shelter, and he is very bonded to me. Ty is very, very loyal and very loving. He would like to sleep on the bed or the couch if he ... (Read More)is allowed to do so! He came to me in October, 2016 with severe separation anxiety. He has never nipped or bitten anyone, but, due to a history of neglect, it will be better for him to be in an adult household. He wants to be the Alpha male when it comes to other dogs. He does get along with most males but challenges some and would be better off with spayed females or as an only dog. Fee is negotiable to an approved home where Ty could be of service to an Armed Services Vet. He has a lot of love to give. He just needs the right person to bring out the very best in him as he continues to recover from previous neglect. The Shelter told us he was 4 years old in Oct 2016, but I believe he could be a bit older. (Less)

She loves her new stuffed blue toy, and we think this baby may never have had a toy before! Kamri appears to be a year old Anatolian Shepherd/cattle dog mix. How she ended up as a stray in the Euless shelter is a mystery, but someone has lost a great girl. Kamri has a great personality, and a gentle manner with people. She is playful and enjoys playing with toys and interacting with shelter volunteers. She is a medium/large dog around 60 pounds and fully grown. She has the sweetest face, and you just want to hug ... (Read More)her when you meet her. We are so sad that she has lost her home, and hope someone will come and rescue her ASAP. This awesome dog deserves a home of her own. Kamri needs to be fed separately as she has shown some food aggression so please be careful when feeding with other pets!!! She gets along with most dogs but may exhibit some alpha traits with other dogs. So caution is always advised when bringing a new pet into the home! Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00052Mack (male)

Anatolian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Six weeks ago, Mack found himself dumped by his owners at a small-town shelter. Lucky for him, someone from K-9 Angels saw him and just couldn't leave him there scared and alone. Mack was petrified of EVERYTHING when he first went to his foster home. He was so timid and nervous. He had never been inside a house before and is still not comfortable inside unless he is in his crate. But, Mack is slowly learning how to trust humans again and has come a long way in his 6 weeks at his foster home. He is turning into a playful dog who loves belly rubs and being scratched behind the ears. He runs like a puppy in the backyard and even plays toss the ... (Read More)stick into the air with himself. Mack needs a patient, stable forever home. Someone he can slowly learn to trust so he can have the great life he deserves. Mack is great with people but needs to be an only dog. He also needs a space outside because that is where he feels most comfortable right now. Mack will not be at our adoption center because the chaos of all the dogs will be too overwhelming for him. A meet up can be arranged for an approved application. Mack is an Anatolian Shepherd, is around 2 years old and currently weighs 85 pounds. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_application_to_adopt.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Thank you!
