Anatolian Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi everyone! My name is Bonnie and I'm a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I'm about 5 months old, and weigh in at 43 lbs so I'm gonna be a pretty big girl someday! I'm a little underweight but I love food so I should be up to snuff in no time! That also makes me easy to train (plus I'm very smart my foster mom says). I love to play but just as much I love to give kisses and snuggle as close as I can! I still tend to jump and nibble so a home with older kids might be best for me. I get along great with my 4 legged foster siblings and my brother who's being fostered with me. I don't pay any attention to the cat, even when she hisses at ... (Read More)me. I go in my crate at night and only fuss for a little bit. I'm pretty good with potty training, and I'm wonderful on a leash (my foster mom says). I also come when called which is a good thing because it turns out a 4' fence is no match for me! Fortunately, I don't go far, but a tall fence or electric fence is probably your best bet! I am being fostered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and my adoption fee is $300 (with a separate $100 check for spay/neuter deposit) and covers all age appropriate shots at time of adoption, microchip and health certificate. Deposit will be shredded once proof of spay/neuter is provided to HFAH before 7 months of age. If interested please apply at www.hopingfurahome.com (DATCP 403644 DS) (Less)

lnteresting Anatolian Shepherd Trivia Low-Cost Wisconsin Spay & Neuter Clinics
Anatolian Shepherds have long been valued by herdsmen for their ability to best wolves in a fight. Anatolian Shepherds are very closely related, some say identical, to the Kangal, which is the national dog of Turkey. Exporting Kangal dogs from Turkey involves so many restrictions that it is effectively outlawed. Anatolian Shepherds have such strong herding instincts that they will treat other household pets as their flock and become very protective of them. Anatolian Shepherds are very independent and will take personal responsibility for guarding a flock.
